Vactaion time is finally here for me. In three days, I'm leaving for New York, and then on the 27th I'm going to Greece and Turkey with my cousin and her school. As a result, I probably won't be very lively on this site for a few weeks.
So, I'm including some parting words:
If you want a good read this summer, I recommend Mark Z. Danielewski's
House of Leaves, which is undoubtedly one of the most nightmarish books I have ever read. However, it's very long and trying, even for the most patient of readers. I'd try reading it when you have plenty of free time available, since it's definitely worth reading.
And now . . . the features! If you'd like to be featured, just comment on this journal. I can feature six more people.
Sphinx [link]
This is a great piece- I love Egyptian mythology. Plus, it's one of her black and white pieces, which I don't see much of anymore.
Computer Printers [link]
I remember this one from Creative Writing. It's an honest piece, and certainly true for all high school students. Plus, it's pretty funny.
A Seahorse
[link]
The spring 2007 Reflections cover seahorse!
A Packrat Who Can Do Origami [link]
Even the full view doesn't do this piece justice. It's basically old planner papers saved by Billie. I saw it in the art department, and I was awed.
How to Make Rainy Day Stew [link]
sounds like something I would write in the margins of a notebook. Very sweet, almost sad.
Westerly [link]
Short and sweet and very vivid.
Caw [link]
The first two lines sold me.
Indigo [link]
Very detailed imagery. I like the use of colors in this piece.
Lament [link]
One of the best image-driven poems Ive read, and very beautifully written.
Sleepwalkers [link]
The language in this poem is gorgeous, and the ending is beautiful. I love the imagery in this piece.
Golem [link]
This is still one of my favorite pieces- its very breathtaking, and I never get tired of reading it.
Catechism [link]
The first two stanzas of this poem are my favorites, and the ending is beautiful as well. Id almost forgotten how much I liked this poem until I found it again.
Colorful Rose [link]
I love the colors in this piece, as well as the edges, and I wish I knew how to do a photomanip like this.
Looking Through the Window [link]
Definitely an interesting ID. The colors are amazing- almost like a horror movie.
Blue Bench [link]
I love the colors in this piece as well; its very detailed.
Steeple [link]
Again, another beautiful, well-detailed picture. I love the angle of the church in this picture.

And thanks for taking the time to read and fave my poem- I think your theory may be correct. When will I have the honor of reading more of your poetry?

To live is to hurt others, and through others, to hurt oneself. Cruel earth! How can we manage not to touch anything? To find what ultimate exile?
